A certified VBP+ beef cattle operation is an operation that has:
  • Implemented the required components of the VBP+ Standard;
  • Maintained an effective up-to-date record keeping system;
  • Successfully completed a third party on-farm assessment demonstrating program requirements have been met; and,
  • Continued to maintain VBP+ certification through annual assessments.

 

VBP+ Certified operations are also CRSB Certified, which means they have been certified to meet the requirements of the CRSB Sustainable Beef Production Standard.  

The CRSB Sustainable Beef Production Standard includes indicators of five areas of beef sustainability:

  • Natural Resources  
  • People and Community
  • Animal Health and Welfare
  • Food
  • Efficiency and Innovation
