VBP+ Management committee

The VBP+ Management Committee provides guidance and direction to VBP+ staff and recommendations to the Beef Cattle Research Council (BCRC) and VBP+ Delivery Services Inc. Board of Directors. The committee is comprised of the chair (appointed by the BCRC), representatives appointed by each of the provincial cattle organizations, the BCRC and the Canadian Cattle Association.

The committee structure provides a mechanism to engage with the provinces to ensure their input and support of the VBP+ mission. Discussions and recommendations from the producer representatives on the committee ensure that VBP+ and its certification arm, VBP+ Delivery Services Inc., are aligned with both industry and end-user goals, while continuing to be a credible, cost-effective, producer-led program.

The committee meets quarterly with most meetings conducted virtually and, if possible, one in-person meeting per year.
