Training is designed to show producers exactly what they need to do to meet the requirements for VBP+ certification. Without taking the training, it is much more difficult for a producer to understand what is required of them and to adopt any record-keeping or practices required. 

A workshop delivered by a provincial coordinator usually takes a few hours. If you take the online training, you can go through the modules at your own pace, but it usually takes a few hours as well. 

No! VBP+ training can help any operation stay up to date on current best management practices and continuously improve. Trained producers are not required to get certified. 

The fee for online training is $50. In-person workshops and webinars may or may not have a cost attached. Watch our social media and events for discounts, as we frequently run promotions to help producers get trained!
