Introduction

VBP+ simply validates what beef cattle producers in Canada are already doing. The program defines expected outcomes for practices and associated records as proof of the actions. We encourage you to take a bit of time to fully understand VBP+ and the requirements so your family or employees know what is expected. To attain official VBP+ Registered status, you will need 6 months of records (cow-calf) or 3 months of records (feedlot) in order for an auditor to review your operational practices.
