Program Training Options and Events

The VBP+ program continues to work towards providing value back to producers. Training is a requirement of full enrolment in the Verified Beef Production Plus (VBP+) program and is the first step in becoming certified.

Attending a training event can be done by one of 3 possible ways: at an on-site regional workshop, via on-line training or attending a webinar.  Each will provide the following learning experiences:

• Learn why VBP+ is gaining in importance in your industry and how you can easily incorporate it into your operation.
• How key industry standards have been incorporated into VBP+ to help you meet your buyer’s needs simply. 
• How the audit process is designed to help you provide that proof of the good things you do. 
• At the on-site workshop, for those who market direct, samples of how others have successfully used the program in their marketing efforts will also be discussed. Should you wish to enrol, you will have walked through the required paperwork to take the first certification step into the program by the end of the workshop.
